IEA

The IEA - International Ergonomics Society - www.iea.cc - is a federation of 48 ergonomics companies from around the world.
The mission of the IEA is to elaborate and promote ergonomics science and practices, and to improve the quality of life by expanding its scope of application and contribution to society. More than 24 Technical Committees, such as Ergonomics in Design TC, work to improve specific fields. The IEA organizes targeted events on major topics, like the Lyon ErgoDesignForum and also a triennal world IEA congress. The next one will be held in Beijing, August 9-14 2009.

UTC

UTC Compiègne University of Technology was the first technological University founded to be in France. It was also the first French university to have introduced Ergonomics and Design in Engineering training and in its research program.

ARDI Rhône-Alpes

The main mission of the Regional Agency of Development and Innovation is to contribute to the sustainable economic development of companies located in the Rhône-Alpes region, through innovation.

The agency consists of 7 departments:

  • The Design Center: integration of design and ecodesign in innovation processes,
  • Performance: improvement of companies' performance through organizational innovation,
  • Materials: development of technology and processes involving materials,
  • Digital technologies: development of technology and processes involving ICT (information and communication technology) and the development of digital technology industries,
  • Health: development of health, medical technology and biotechnology industries,
  • Network Synergy: coordination of the technological development network and the environment network,
  • Electronic Systems: development of technology involving on-board electronics systems and the mechatronics.

These departments offer the same business expertise in the fields of economic intelligence, project engineering and network coordination.

GERRA

The Rhône-Alpes Ergonomics Group (GERRA) is an association open to ergonomists and to anyone interested in ergonomics in the Rhône-Alpes area.
Its aims are to:

  • favor meetings between people working in ergonomics,
  • help spread knowledge in ergonomics and ergonomic applications by organizing congresses, conferences and meetings,
  • ensure a regional and nationwide influence.

The GERRA works closely with the SELF ( French speaking Ergonomics Society) for regional actions.
